Mrs Carter: Tragedy struck Bethenny and her family when the cameras stopped rolling
Former ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star Bethenny Frankel appeared on the ‘Today’ show to promote the third season of ‘Bethenny Ever After’, but when the subject of children came up, the normally feisty reality star shared a rather heart breaking story with her fans.
Frankel revealed to ‘Today’ show host Savannah Guthrie during the interview that she had suffered a miscarriage when she was pregnant with her second child and because it happened when the show wasn’t taping, she was able to keep the situation private. She said;
“It’s a very personal question. We were pregnant with a second baby, and at eight weeks, I miscarried.”
Frankel went on to say that the experience made her have a deeper understanding for women who battle infertility issues and that she’s unsure as to whether or not she and her husband, Jason Hoppy, will try again for a little brother or sister to join their 21 month old daughter Bryn. She said;
“I’m not really thinking about it. Until you become a woman you don’t know the things that come with being a woman. And I’m 41, and I don’t know. It’s not really my choice. It’s not really my option. The window’s closing.”
Bethenny’s third season of her hit show ‘Bethenny Ever After’ premieres February 20 at 9 p.m. on Bravo. You can check out Bethenny’s full interview on the ‘Today’ show below.
