Mrs Carter: Is this really that hard to believe?
“Glee” star Lea Michele is easily the queen of keeping her on set romances a secret from the public eye. She dated Corey Monteith for years before his tragic death last year and now another name from the “Glee” universe has surfaced with romantic connections to Michele. Which co-star did Michele briefly date before getting romantically involved with Monteith? Why it was none other then her onscreen teacher and all around good guy Matthew Morrison.
So how did this news finally surface after so many years? Well according to US Weekly, Michele offered up the information herself in her new book “Brunette Ambition” (which you should definitely pick up if you don’t already own it.) What was interesting about Michele and Morrison’s very brief time together was that it was before “Glee” was around. It reads:
“When we shot the pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, and Chris Colfer for the first time. I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we’d actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat.”
Now this news may seem a little strange considering that Michele plays a high school student and Morrison plays the role of a teacher on the show, but before we get all fussy about the situation we have to remember that they are only 8 years apart in age, which is really nothing.
