With the incredible numbers that ‘The Voice’ has been pulling in since the season two premiere after the Super Bowl, it’s not surprising to hear that NBC will be moving season three to the fall schedule where television tends to be the busiest.
Reports from The Wrap are saying that not only will season three of ‘The Voice’ be airing in the fall, but that it will be up against Simon Cowell’s new and hopefully improved ‘X Factor’. Unless the ‘X Factor’ can really pull in some credible judges and a fairly charismatic host, they might have some problems competing against ‘The Voice’ who has busted out of the gates as a force to be reckoned with this season.
At this point it is still unknown whether or not NBC plans to air ‘The Voice’ twice a year or if it will only be airing during the fall season from now on. There are reports saying that it will air twice a year, but NBC has not made an official announcement at this time.
‘The Voice’ has the best judging panel on television at the moment and luckily for NBC they were able to secure Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green to return to the show for the fall season. Levine, Green and Shelton are expected to see their salaries roughly doubled at $6 million a piece while Aguilera signed back on for a cool $10 million.
Sources say that Levine was holding back on committing to the fall season, because of conflicts with scheduling as his band, Maroon 5, has a new album coming out soon and the accompanying tour could possibly conflict with the filming of ‘The Voice’, but it seems all is well in the world and we will have all four of our favorite judges back in the hot seat.
