‘The Originals’ season 2’s Joseph Morgan engaged to ‘Vampire Diaries’ alum Persia White

Klaus -Mrs. Carter: May is turning out to be a rather enormous month for Joseph Morgan!

First, there is the news that “The Originals” wrapped up filming its first season, and that news was quickly followed by the actor celebrating his birthday. Now, we are also pleased to report that the ever-so-nice man behind the ever-so-evil Klaus is engaged to be married! Not only that, but you may already be fairly familiar with the actress thanks to her role on “The Vampire Diaries” as Bonnie Bennett’s mother. That’s right: He and Persia White are getting married!

The future groom first dished on the news to Wetpaint, at least in the form of a joint statement that actually turned some of the love around back to those sending well-wishes:

“We really appreciate those of you who have supported our wild, creative, passionate and unlikely relationship. We have found a rare and precious thing; true love. We wish you all the same.”

Morgan has been mostly quiet about his personal life, and this relationship that first began years ago when Morgan was a part of “The Vampire Diaries” season 3 and White had her role on the show at the time. This is likely something that he entered the business with, but he had plenty of similar relationships all around him. After all, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev dated for years without anyone really getting a chance to ask them questions about it. Meanwhile, Paul Wesley has been in a quiet relationship this year with Joseph’s co-star Phoebe Tonkin.

Are you happy for Joseph? As always, be sure to share some of your thoughts below! You can also click here to read some more news related to “The Originals,” or sign up now to get some further updates via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
