‘White Collar’ co-star ‘proud’ of Matt Bomer coming out as gay

His co-stars support him

Mrs Carter: His co-stars are supportive of his choice to come out.

Fans of the show ‘White Collar’ were surprised to hear that Matt Bomer had revealed his sexuality last weekend after years of keeping his personal life private, but now that he has come out as gay, his fans and co-stars couldn’t be happier and more supportive of him.

Bomer revealed his sexuality at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards when he accepted his award for ‘New Generation Arts and Activism’ for his work to help put an end to HIV/AIDS.  During Bomer’s acceptance speech, he thanked his children and his partner and publicist Simon Halls.  He said;

“I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”

Bomer’s ‘White Collar’ co-star, Tim DeKay, spoke to E! News about Matt’s decision to come out quietly and said that he is very proud of him calling him “classy” and “elegant”.  He said;

“I love him, love him, love him, and I am so proud of him. He’s just a fantastic individual and I thought he did it in a very classy, elegant and eloquent way. I can’t imagine how many guys or gals were out there going, ‘If he could do it, I could do it.”

Another costar from the series, Tiffani Thieesen was also happy for Bomer, saying that his family is “beautiful.”  She said;

“I adore Matt. I adore his family. I think he’s beautiful and I think his family is beautiful.”

Along with his role on ‘White Collar’, Bomer recently also filmed a guest spot on the hit series ‘Glee’, and will be playing Blaine’s (Darren Criss) brother.
