With all the excitement of Hollywood week wrapping up on season 11 of ‘American Idol’ we thought it was a good time to check in with some of the Idol alumni and see what they are up to this week.
Scotty McCreery talks Hollywood week: One of the hardest moments for Idol contestants is sitting in those little rooms during Hollywood week and waiting for the judges to come in and tell you if you made it through or not, so when Scotty watched the contestants sweating it out last night, he couldn’t help but share his experience on the show. He tweeted; “Last year i was in room 1 first. Then a producer came and took me out and walked me to a different room. A lot of the people who did really good during hollywood were in room 1, so we all felt really confident. It was the sameday i forgot the words to my song, so when they moved me, i knew i was going home. I was so scared! Haha. Both rooms got thru tho, n the producer said they just felt like playing a joke on me. It was funny tho! Those producers were the bomb. but that joke definitely made my heart drop, haha.”
Stefano Langone in the studio: Langone is hard at work on his debut album and fans couldn’t be more excited to get their hands on it. Unfortunately it’ll still be a bit of a wait until it’s ready for release, but Stefano posted a message on his Twitter yesterday along with a photo of himself saying that he’s in the studio working on some music. He said; “#studio today with my good friends @Rock_Mafia making the final touch ups on a couple songs #FutureHits #Believe.”
Chris Daughtry does Esquire photo shoot: Esquire Magazine is doing a photo spread honoring some of the greatest songwriters of our time and included in this group is the uber talented Chris Daughtry. The former Idol posted a photo and message on his Twitter account about the shoot, saying: “Doing a photo shoot today with a group of very talented songwriters for @Esquiremag Honored to be a part of this!”
Haley Reinhart at the Hard Rock: Haley’s been a pretty busy girl these days as she puts the final touches on her debut album and gets ready for the release of her first single ‘Free’ in March, but she has still found some time to include a few live performances in her jam packed schedule. Reinhart will be performing at the Hard Rock café in Hollywood on Tuesday, February 21 at 8 p.m. and she will be sharing the stage with Graffiti6 and Hot Chelle Rae.
