‘White Collar’ star Matt Bomer put all of the speculation to rest this weekend when he revealed that he is gay. Bomer gave a special thanks to his partner and his children while he was being honored at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards.
The ‘New Generation Arts and Activism Award’ was given to Bomer for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS and while he was on stage to accept his award he thanked his partner and publicist Simon Halls as well as their three children. He said;
“I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”
Bomer’s sexuality has been a question mark for years as he has been able to keep his personal life fairly private. In an interview in 2010 with Details Magazine, Bomer responded to rumors about his love life by saying he didn’t care. He said;
“I don’t care about [rumors] at all. I’m completely happy and fulfilled in my personal life.”
You can check out Bomer on ‘White Collar’ which airs on Tuesdays at 10 on the USA Network.
