‘Glee’ season 5, episode 19 video: Chris Colfer, cast talk ‘Old Dog, New Tricks’
Sooner or later, you knew that Chris Colfer was going to have an opportunity to write his own episode of “Glee.” He has already penned his own movie in “Struck By Lightning,” in addition to some of his best-selling The Land of Stories novels. This is enough of a resume to get a chance with at least an episode of the show.
Chris’ episode is entitled “Old Dog, New Tricks,” and you are going to get a chance to see it play out in full Tuesday night. In the video below, you can see Chris, Darren Criss, and Kevin McHale all sitting down to talk a little bit about what you can expect to see unfold over the course of the entire hour. this includes Kurt Hummel joining a senior-citizen production of “Peter Pan,” and at one points, dogs are also going to be getting involved in the story (hence the title).
Criss and McHale also of course have a little bit of fun with the notion of Chris being the writer of the episode, and choose to also remind you more than a few times that the Golden Globe winner was the man behind the script. This episode of course will do so much more than just Kurt in a production, though. We’re starting to find out more and more about Rachel and Blaine’s future plans, and over the next two episodes, Sam Evans may start to make his own strides in the modeling world. Is a little over-the-top that all these people are making their dreams come true? Sure, but this show is idealistic.
“Glee” recently wrapped up filming its fifth season, and as we move forward into the final year, hopefully Kurt will finally figure out what his place in life is.
