For all the business enthusiasts out there that haven’t had a chance to check out ABC’s hit reality show ‘Shark Tank’ we highly recommend that you tune in.
‘Shark Tank’ is a reality show that really sets itself apart from the rest as there is no train-wreck relationships, punching people in the face or drunken party nights, but still finds a way to deliver nail biting drama every week. Burgeoning business entrepreneurs face the ‘sharks’, a panel of rich fat cats that are shrewd business people looking for new projects to sink their teeth into. While many entrepreneurs end up taking a deal that one of the sharks offer, they usually end up losing a large chunk of the company to the shark.
One reality star that can’t get enough of ‘Shark Tank’ is ‘Jersey Shore’ star Snooki, which makes a lot of sense since her business ventures stretch far and wide covering everything from sunglasses to slippers. Snooki posted a message on her Twitter account to her 4.4 million followers praising the show, saying; “Totally into Shark Tank right now.”
After Snooki’s tweet, ‘Shark Tank’ ended up having its highest rated Friday show ever with 5.9 million viewers tuning in and snagging a 1.8 rating in the 19-49 demographic. While it’s unknown if Snooki’s tweet about the show helped bring in the viewers, past experience has proven that whenever the cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ tweets about a company, the brand sees some sort of effect. Look at what happened to Abercombie and Fitch – they offered the cast money to stop wearing their brand and the cast in return put the retailer on blast causing the company’s stocks to falls drastically.
You can catch ‘Shark Tank’ on Friday’s at 8 p.m. on ABC – will you be tuning in?
