Roseanne Barr, John Goodman to reunite for NBC Pilot

They may be reunited

Roseanne Barr and John Goodman became household names after starring in the ABC sitcom ‘Roseanne’ from 1988 to 1997 and while there have been many television couples that have come and gone since ‘Roseanne’ went off the air, no one has ever been quite like these two.

There is some good news for ‘Roseanne’ fans that have been trying to find a sitcom to fill the void since it went off the air 15 years ago.  According to Deadline, Goodman is in final negotiations to be picked up by NBC to star in Barr’s pilot ‘Downwardly Mobile.’

Barr and Goodman are not set to play a couple this time – at least not right away.  Roseanne will be playing the role of the owner of a trailer park and John would be co-starring as her friend and one of the grounds workers.

John Argent and Eric Gilliland are set to be the show runner’s which is perfect since Gilliland was the executive producer on ‘Roseanne’.

Are you excited to hear that Barr and Goodman might be sharing the small screen together again?  Do you think that it might be too difficult to see these two play anything other than a married couple?  Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.
