‘The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola dish on ‘ball’ episode

Nina and Candice in ‘The Vampire Diaries’

The masterminds behind the hit CW series ‘The Vampire Diaries’ may be playing with fire when it comes to creating a romantic moment between Caroline and Klaus in tonight’s episode ‘Dangerous Liaisons’, but most fans are fairly receptive to the idea of these two characters hooking up.

Now that the Originals have all been reunited what will they have in store for the residents of Mystic Falls?  Well right out of the gate they decide to partake in a ball that has all the fans excited as they will watch the sparks fly between Caroline and Klaus while they heat up the dance floor. ‘Vampire Diaries’ star Nina Dobrev spoke to E! News about the Mikaelsons ball and said that it’s going to be fairly suspenseful for everyone involved.  She said;

“The ball at the Mikaelsons’ is going to be a really interesting affair and it’s going to be really exciting and sort of suspenseful and scary because everyone is there. Almost the entire cast is there and they’re on a mission and a lot can happen.  It could turn for the good or for the bad. I mean things could happen and our main characters could succeed or they could miserably fail. In the Vampire Diaries and in Mystic Falls the stakes are so high that what you could lose and what you’re risking are lives and so in this case we get to do that but in ball gowns so it’s extra glamorous and extra fun.”

Candice Accola, who plays Caroline on the series, reveals that most of the cast were terrible dancers, so she’s excited to see how the editors made them all look like they have the moves on the dance floor.  She said;

“I’m really excited for the episode of the ball I hear it has turned out absolutely beautiful and I’m excited for the editors to make it look like we all can dance because we were all terrible, absolutely terrible.  There is a line at one point in which Caroline even says like, ‘Yeah I know I’m a good dancer’ and by that point I was like really tripping on my feet and everyone just like bust out because it was so obviously not a moment of being a good dancer. We did take dance lessons for, like, 30 minutes. It was very quick and of course while were in there you’re like, ‘Oh I got this!’ and then you’re like, ‘Oh you want us to talk while were dancing? This is a whole other avenue! Hold on.'”

As for what fans can hope to see in tonight’s episode, look forward to Elena sharing a few intense moments with both Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and get ready for one of the brother’s to drop those three little words that everyone wants to hear.  Elena is set to deeply hurt Damon which could bring back the old angry angst ridden Damon that we all love and miss.

It seems that every male in Mystic Falls is secretly in love with Elena as the series drops a few hints about Elijah having feelings for Elena.  The mother of the Originals has her own plans for Elena as she tries to smooth out the sibling bickering that reminds us that no matter if you are a human or a vampire, brother and sister relationships can still be a pain in the neck.

And the biggest moment of the episode that everyone’s been talking about all week – the dance between Klaus and Caroline.  While Klaus is not making it much of a secret that he wants to win Caroline’s affections, Caroline is not easily bought – plus she is still working through her feelings for Tyler Lockwood.

Some of the fan favorites will be missing from tonight’s episode Like Alaric, Tyler, Meredith and Bonnie, but there will be some plot movement on some of their storylines, setting them up for more screen time next week.

Are you hoping that Caroline and Klaus will become a couple?  What do you think of an Elena Elijah hook up?  Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.
