Ashton Kutcher has had a difficult year as he dealt with a very public scandal revolving around an alleged one night stand, his divorce from Demi Moore and his ex-wife’s downward spiral into a treatment center, but with yesterday marking his 34th birthday Kutcher is ready to make some changes.
The ‘Two and a Half Men’ star used his birthday to help support a great cause and asked fans to donate to the DNA Foundation which helps children escape all kind of terrible situations. Kutcher said that he will match all donations, dollar for dollar, up to $350,000.
Kutcher posted a message on his Twitter along with a short video of himself thanking everyone for making his birthday special and explaining what he hopes to accomplish this year. He said;
“I want to thank everyone for all the amazing wishes. I’m determined this year to do everything in my power to make the world a better place, and I want to start by getting right after it today.”
Although Kutcher’s birthday plans were to put himself second to his cause, the cast and crew on the set of ‘Two and a Half Men’ wanted to let Ashton know just how special he is and presented him with a birthday cake that had a picture of Angus T. Jones, Jon Cryer and Ashton on it. He posted a picture of the cake and said; “Love my coworkers!”
The DNA Foundation was founded by Kutcher and Moore and if you want to help them with their cause, you can find more information about the charity HERE.
