I don’t disagree with any of that, it’s true and it’s such a same because I do like Katie Cassidy and I think there’s a lot of potential there for her character, it just seems that they don’t know what to do with her. A huge waste of what started out as a strong character idea, but I do think she can be redeemed if they pull her out of the victim role and give her something to do.

I doubt CW/ARROW will even listen but if they “insist” on keep a CHARACTER like HER, then turn her VILLAIN; that I could STAND to see of her..

The problem with Laurel right now is that the writers are TELLING us what it’s supposed to be instead of SHOWING us. Her lines are flat. Her scenes are boring as hell and she has zero chemistry with the cast. It’s awful. I like Katie Cassidy but I’m just not feeling her. When a one time character becomes a series regular and fills the missing female void… there’s a problem with your cast.

I completely agree, she’s had to be rescued too many times. For me she’s someone who could’ve been a great character – she’s smart and driven, but some how always ends up the victim. It’s tough to watch.

It’s hard for me to see her being redeemed. I don’t know. I just dislike what they’ve done to her. Like you said… the constant victimization of her character has ruined her for me. I don’t know if I could believe her becoming Black Canary. Outside of that… I don’t even see her use. Her whole purpose is to be rescued. So far, that’s it.

I don’t want to see her die, but I do want to see them give her something else to do outside of getting kidnapped, having her apartment trashed 200 times or being a victim.
