I’m hoping that they find a way to bring Neal back, because truly Hook & Emma are not a good fit. He is a traveler & she is not, she’s family and stability and he is adventure & new places. Personally I think Hook & Red would make a great pair, so I am hoping they move in that direction and bring Neal back as well.

There are some shows where the death of an integral character is a surprise, but is accepted, not OUAT. It’s a show about family and happy endings, and the writers sure stopped Emma and Henry’s happy ending in it’s tracks with the death of Neal. The excitement I felt when MRJ first appeared walking down the streets of NY is nothing compared to the disappointment I felt when he died. I didn’t like the way the writers treated him up to that point either. It appears they new the outcome from the beginning and treated him as a guest star throughout. If that was the case they should have cast an unknown, however, it would have been hard to reproduce the chemistry between two different actors. JM was at her best in scenes with MRJ. Together they represented hope, forgiveness and true love, even more so than Snow and Charming. They were electric and great to watch. An incredible missed opportunity for the show itself. As for Hook, he’s all flash and no substance, and I don’t think anyone with a sense of story continuity will believe him as a love interest for Emma. This guy has been the bane of Rumple’s family life since his introduction. So much for his love for Mila, he’s spent this season trying to destroy her sons happiness. For all his good looks, Hook is just a disgusting character. I don’t know how OUAT is going to recover from this incredible mistake.

In reply to Used to be OUAT lover. Yeah if the writers have gone with Hook as the love interest and killed off Neal because of the fan base I'm boycotting this show. This was fast becoming my favourite show, but it looks like the writers have stuffed up if Neal really is gone. (Writers of Lost, we still haven't forgiven you for killing Juliet. This looks like strike 2)

If this was what the writers had planned then so be it. I’m not in favor of the “I’m taking my ball and going home” kind of attitude- and would be disappointed if show runners genuinely changed their plans based on how they thought fans would react.
But the truth is, after Season 1, I lost interest in Season 2- and stopped watching out of boredom.It was the introduction of Neal’s character that got me to re-invest with the show. If he’s not on the show, I’m just kind of apathetic. I might keep up with the recaps, but its not like I”m not watching because I’m mad or anything, it just means the writers have gone in a directed that doesn’t really interest me anymore. I mean- epic showdown between magical beings that are also family members, some hot guy hitting on Emma- is kind of what happens EVERY season in this show.

After tonight’s episode I think I am done with OUAT just saying but if Neal doesn’t somehow come back OUAT might just be over…. Sorry to say but a lot of OUAT fans died with Neal tonight.

I guess whoever died in the end there was always going to be people upset, but I guess we just have to trust the writers. Even though I wasn’t a Swanfire fan, I still liked Neal and was sad to see him go.

I just can’t even right now. Neal was LITTERALY (sorry for the spelling) my FAVE character. Him and Emma were just… Perfect together. And now he’s gone and not coming back. So that puts a huge rain cloud over my parade. So freaking sad. As for the wicked witch i hope Rumple gives her whats coming. I’ve never hated a character in this show aside from Cora, and that was a deep hate, but i have to say Zelena is taking the cake. Way to go you Thunder Puss.
