Kelly Clarkson has come a long way since winning the first season of ‘American Idol’, selling millions of albums, touring for fans worldwide and constantly climbing the Billboard charts with her hit singles.
Clarkson has just reached another milestone in her incredible career and is celebrating the success of her latest album ‘Stronger’ reaching 1 million records sold worldwide. Clarkson was honored with a plaque during her tour stop at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
The Idol winner has another big milestone coming up as she will be singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis on February 5. The honor of singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl is huge, but as long as she can remember the lines and doesn’t repeat Christina Aguilera’s mistakes from last year then she should be just fine.
A few other Idol alumni have taken a shot at singing the National Anthem and while some of them had great success like Lee Dewyze and Pia Toscano, others have had a little difficulty with the song like Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery.
Kelly is currently on her ‘Stronger’ tour to help promote her new album and will be performing next in Bossier City, LA at the Riverdome at Horseshoe Casin on February 4.
