‘The Mentalist’ season 6 spoilers: The finale’s title is…

We understand that it is a little hard to really talk about the season 6 finale for “The Mentalist” without feeling a little bit sad. Thanks to CBS not picking up the show yet, despite renewing many other programs, it is easy to worry about whether or not the show is going to be back for another season.

At the moment, the only thing that we can say in regards to renewal possibilities is to watch the show, and also watch it live. This is the only way that you are going to get a chance to have it come back. (We’ve already written about how possibly another network could be interested in picking it up.)

So what we are here to share today is just a simple scoop regarding this episode: The title of “Blue Bird.” This certainly sounds peaceful enough, and with the fate of the show uncertain, we wonder if this will be crafted in a way that could at least serve as a decent conclusion, while also leaving the door open for a possible seventh season. If we were running the show, this is at least the sort of avenue that we would consider taking.

One other random thing that we’re hoping could help the show? That the recent huge episode of “The Good Wife” could bring more viewers to CBS, who could in turn stick around for the show after it. Time will tell, and we’ll just have to see what sort of stories are told from here on out.
