More details about Adam Lambert’s Equality California honor

Greg Hernandez

As we wrote previously, Adam Lambert is going to receive an honor (along with Facebook) at the annual Los Angeles Equality Awards benefiting gay rights group Equality California. It’s a cause that is certainly near and dear to Adam’s heart, and he has been honored specifically due to everything he has done for the LGBT community over the past three years (not to mention even before he became a celebrity).

If you want to attend, though, you better be prepared to open up your pocketbook. Individual tickets to the August 13 are going to run you the price of $350,  (You can also purchase a table of ten for the cool price of $3,500.) Granted, all of the money here is going to a fantastic cause, even if it is not necessarily the sort of event that many people can pay for in the blink of eye. (In addition to this, the event also has formal dress.)

The real hope here is that this ceremony will mark the beginning for Adam’s upcoming fall promotional push. We know that he has been working on a sophomore release for most of the year, and this will give him an opportunity to be spotted in the public eye . Although he is an honoree rather than a performer here, and exposure for one facet of your life can always help the other.

How badly would you want to go to this event?
