George, you are SO right! I’ve been watching (and even tried out once) American Idol since the beginning, and for me, Jena is the MOST original female the show has ever had. She writes her own songs and has a powerhouse voice. I love ALL female artists from the divas like Mariah and Christina, to the rockers like Gwen Stefani, Amy Lee and Hayley Williams, and I can picture Jena singing any and all of it! Every time she sings a song on the show, I end up having her version of that song stuck in my head for days–that’s an artist. You tell her to keep making her own versions of songs shine, and to make sure she’s not swearing (on twitter for example), and appearing kind and humble backstage! I noticed the producers were trying to make her look like she has an attitude problem in clips, which I’m sure she doesn’t (Michiganders are just a unique people, I’m from Sterling Heights)–but she can be more than just a finalist, I believe she can WIN! I’d be first in line to buy an album of hers, that’s for sure. You did a great job with that girl! BTW, I love her name, and it will be remembered when she wins :)
