With the new season of ‘American Idol’ starting up, fans have a much higher expectation of the talent after season 10 set the bar so incredibly high with performers like Haley Reinhart, Stefano Langone, Lauren Alaina, Pia Toscano and of course Scotty McCreery.
The viewers have had plenty to say about this season’s talent pool, but we were curious to see what last year’s contestants had to say about the season so far – if they are even watching that it. While some of season 10’s talent, such as James Durbin, Paul McDonald, Casey Abrams and Pia Toscano, haven’t been chatting about season 11 on their Twitter accounts, there are a few that have been tuning in and they definitely have something to say about it. Here are some of our favorite tweets from season 10 contestants about this season of ‘American Idol’.
Lauren Alaina – “Now watching American idol. kinda sad. But happy. #strangefeelings”
Haley Reinhart – “Hey yall! Who’s watching @AmericanIdol right now? Can’t believe that was me not so long ago… #idol”
Stefano Langone –“ Brings back some great memories #AmercianIdol goodnight.”
Jacob Lusk – “Grateful to forever be a part of the greatest family #AmericanIdol. Tonight Some very blessed kids lives will change forever #keepbelieving. Listening to Michael Jackson sing Man in The Mirror at the grocery store… #idolmemories”
And of course season 10 winner Scotty McCreery has found time to tune in even though he is currently on the road touring with country super star Brad Paisley. He wrote;
Scotty McCreery – “@AmericanIdol: The show is on tonight at 8/7c. Will you be watching?! Im gonna run to the bus after my set to watch! One year ago I was watching my audition on @AmericanIdol and now tmrrw I’m heading out for another leg on the @BradPaisley tour! #TimeFlies.”
