He&#039;s on record, in print and TV interviews, going back at least a year, probably more, pleading for the term Cumberbitch to go away.  Members of the press are primarily the ones who refuse to let it die.  (Part desire to be titilating by using a &quot;naughty&quot; word, and part due to crappy subject research.) His fans are so deferential that they pretty much stopped using it as soon as his opposition became known.
Frankly, as one of his fans, I&#039;m ok with just being called a fan.]]></description>
