Mrs. Carter: Snooki, Pauly D, and JWoww are already parents (or expecting parents), so who from “Jersey Shore” is ready for round two?
Snooki was the first reality star from this show to jump into parenthood after she had her son Lorenzo with fiance Jionni LaValle, and was pregnant during much of “Snooki & JWoww” season 1 and also the final season of “Jersey Shore”. Then, there was the news that Pauly D had fathered a child and that Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Roger Mathews were also expecting. At this point almost half of the cast has kids or is getting ready of parenthood.
So what’s the big news now? Per the New York Post, Snooki is ready for round two and is pregnant with her second child. She has not responded to any of the chatter, and we imagine there being two possible reasons for that:
1. She doesn’t want it to impact her appearance schedule just yet, especially since she still has some club appearances in the works.
2. She is waiting to announce the news in a magazine, where she can get more publicity out of it. If you recall, Snooki was hesitant to announce the news of her first pregnancy after it initially came out. This makes the most sense since “Jersey Shore” is over and although “Snooki & JWoww” is still airing , it’s not the beast “Jersey Shore” was, so any publicity she can get right now is good.
Snooki has seen her fame evaporate over the past year and so, with most of the reason for that being that her shows are no longer the same enormous success that they once were. But, this is also what happens to someone who finds fame in the way that Snooki did. She has to find creative ways to stay in the spotlight, since it’s hard for her to dive in and have some sort of normal life after being on a show that was such a massive success.
This past fall, Snooki was on “Dancing with the Stars,” which also ended up being the last season for host Brooke Burke-Charvet after she was let go late this week.
