‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3 spoilers: ‘7th Heaven’ alum signs on for romantic role

“Hart of Dixie” is a show that loves to deal with matters of the heart (go figure), so can you really be that surprised that we have some more news now pertaining to a character that is going to get a new love interest in the future.

According to a new report from E! News, Barry Watson of “7th Heaven” fame will by signing on later this season in the role of Davis Polk, a somewhat shy but charming and (of course) good-looking guy who starts to sweep one of the ladies on this show off of her feet. This starts out as a crush, and he has to figure out whether or not he has it in him to ask this person out on a date.

For the record, don’t take the attached photo here of AnnaBeth as any proof that the woman that Watson is going to be romancing is her; we are mostly just putting her there because this is personally who we would like to see get someone new. She’s just been crushed by Lavon without really doing anything wrong, and that to us suggests that she could use someone new in her life.

The other obvious possibilities here are Zoe and Lemon, especially given that the latter is going to be back on the show when it returns in March. Her love life is always complicated, right? Meanwhile, Zoe is with Joel, but we’ve learned already on this show that very few relationships actually stay stable for long.
