Mrs. Carter: There’s another addition now to the “Survivor” family!
Only a few weeks remain until the premiere of “Survivor: Cagayan” on February 26, but one of the show’s most-dominant winners ever (at least according to our own rankings) in Kim Spradlin has welcomed a child with her husband Bryan Wolfe. Their new son’s name is Michael Thomas Wolfe (a refreshingly normal name in the age of names like “Pilot Inspector,” which to us still ranks as the worst celebrity name of all time), and this child was welcomed into the world in a way that you don’t see as often these days: Via a water birth at home, with the assistance of a midwife. Michael weighed in at six pounds, nine ounces.
Speaking to People Magazine, Kim had the following to say about her brand new baby boy:
“Whoa, that was hard! But of course, he’s awesome and I love him so much. And Dad would like to add that he is also doing great and is only slightly traumatized!”
At some point, we are sure that there will be many people clamoring to see Kim on the show again, but it’s safe to say that she has a different set of priorities for the time being. When she did play, she was perhaps best known for being one of the game’s few triple threats: She was great in the challenges, build solid relationships with many of the other people in her tribe, and also was able to make great strategic moves that were constantly a step ahead of almost everyone else.
There is one other interesting connection between Kim’s season of “Survivor: One World” and “Survivor: Cagayan,” at least in that it was the last time before this year that we had a cast of all-new players.
