He only gave that speech because he needed something from them at that moment. It was phony and completely tone deaf in regard to how he brought it on himself.

While I don’t expect people to be forgiving of his behavior, a lot of what I’ve seen online has really crossed the line of what’s acceptable. People have threatened to kill him, insulted our mother, and called him every name in the book. People have thrown around words like “sociopath” and “psychopath” without any regard for the challenges that are really faced by people with mental or behavioral disorders (and their family members). It’s hard on Zack, but it’s hard on us, too. Your treatment has been kinder than most, so thanks for that. -Rachel (Zack’s sister)

Zach acts like such a brat that he really disrupts the show. He is so condescending and thinks so much of himself that I want to see him gone. I would have thought being a nerd and understanding the feeling of being looked down upon that he would not behave like that. The “how does gravity work” bit was ridiculous. You’ll never explain gravity properly in 3 seconds. Then he continues to look down on her and mock her. Its almost infuriating so see how he behaves. His speech didn’t have me emotional, personally. It just feels like it was another antic where he goes from teamwork to being selfish and bratty.

It was a wonderful speech, IF it was genuine and he practices what he preaches. However, his “feeling like no one wants him there” is a DIRECT effect of his erratic, inappropriate, and rude behavior. You kinda reap what you sow.
