Adam Lambert secures nomination for VH1’s ‘Do Something’ Awards

Adam Lambert is getting yet another moment in the spotlight — this time courtesy of his charitable endeavors. VH1 has chosen to nominate the singer for its annual “Do Something” Awards, and they have plenty of reasons for doing so:

-He donated the proceeds from his “Aftermath Remix” directly to The Trevor Project

-He has raised over $322,000 for his endeavors with DonorsChoose to help students have a proper education in the arts

-He also celebrated his 29th birthday earlier this year by raising $320,000 for MyCharity:Water. Originally, his goal was only $29,000 — but that was shattered in a matter of hours.

You can vote for the awards here at this link, and Adam is up against a number of other performers who have all made strides to give back to the surrounding world — including the Black Eyed Peas, Linkin Park, Joe Jonas, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber.

The VH1 “Do Something” Awards are set to tape on August 14, and will actually air on the 18th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Are you doing your best to help Adam win?
