‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2 spoilers: Another Vincent – Cat standoff

If there is one thing that we find ourselves learning time and time again about “Beauty and the Beast,” it is that the pairing of Vincent and Cat is in some ways inescapable. Even if there are some moments (and there definitely are) where we start to feel like the two are going to be divided and will not spend any more time together, the two find a way somehow to reconvene, anyway … even if it is under pretty violent circumstances.

With that in mind, we present you now with an image from “Recipe for Disaster,” which is the installment of the show airing on The CW Monday night. This is going to be a particularly violent outing, as we start to get more and more evidence as to what exactly is happening in the Beast’s origin story, and also why Cat is tied so deeply to Vincent and this entire world.

The only part of that is in question? Whether or not she really wants to be anymore. We saw her kiss Gabe at the end of last week’s episode, an indication that she may now be thinking more towards a future that does not involve constantly putting her life in jeopardy. It is hard to really blame her for thinking that way now, given everything that she has been through … but we also have a hard time picturing that this sort of absence of drama in her life is going to last forever.

As for Vincent, there is obviously still some sort of relationship with Tori; not only is she still in this picture, but she is standing on the opposite side of the room from Cat and Vincent.
