When you are so late on a competition like “The X Factor,” one of the real goals is just to have consistency — without it, odds are that someone could end up going home on a fluke week. (After all, look what happened to Rachel Crow.)
Thankfully, Melanie Amaro has managed to succeed when it comes to the consistency category. During the show Wednesday night, Melanie managed to succeed despite having to take on two songs in “Hero” and “Feelin’ Good” that have been covered a million times already on various reality shows.
Melanie was the only artist during the show who managed to get a standing ovation from all the judges, and it looks like the odds are now pretty high that she could make it through to next week’s finale.
As for the one going home, we don’t know how to say this — but Marcus Canty is a goner. He went first on the night (which is never a good sign), and his performances were far and away the weakest during the competition.
What did you think of Melanie’s performances?
