Julian Fellowes seems to be writing vignettes for characters and slapping them together with, unfortunately, not much glue. He writes as if each episode will be the last and he has to cram it all in at once. And then…. the cliffhanger of the rape was ridiculous. what an overused storyline. I liked the series better when Downton Abbey was the star and not a bunch of people moving in and out.
