We’ve complained for quite a while here in America that our singing competitions seem skewed to the boys’ favor with the voting — and now, it’s time that we take a page from our pals across the pond.
After a full season of great entertainment on “The X Factor,” Marcus Collins was ultimately edged out by girl group Little Mix. This was the first time ever that a group managed to end up winning the show, and it’s also the first time in three seasons that a girl has come out on top overseas.
This conclusion is certainly not one that seemed obvious going into the live shows — a time when most of us were talking about Janet Devlin, Kitty Brucknell, and Frankie Cocozza. Sometimes, though, we tend to enjoy the reality TV conclusions that we simply don’t see coming.
