Fans still love and watch the mentalist, and just because the red john story line ended does not give an excuse as to why to end it. The only reason why the ratings are a little down is because of the stupid time slot and football over runs, if CBS wants to be smart and still make money and ratings, move the Mentalist to another time slot and get rid of another show that is not getting good ratings. Now granite every show has to end eventually, i just don’t think it is the mentalists time yet or the good wife.

Cancel Elementary and move The Mentalist back to Thursday or any other night that gives it the chance it deserves. It has a fresh story line and a great cast… the main impairment seems to be Sunday night at 9/10. It’s impossible for a show’s rating to build if it’s not on at the same time every week. Being pushed back or up against any big special makes it impossible. The Good Wife is in the same boat.
