Mrs. Carter: Jesse Williams has a brand-new addition to his real-life family!
While you may better know the actor for his role as Dr. Jackson Avery on “Grey’s Anatomy,” the actor now officially has a new role in life as a father of a baby girl. According to Us Weekly sources, he and his wife Aryn Drake-Lee welcomed a baby girl named Sadie into the world and they could not be happier. Their baby actually arrived for the couple in early December, and when you consider that, the timing was actually pretty perfect for the actor. While there may have been some more filming for him to take part of during December, there was not that much in the way of filming that took place over the course of the holidays so he had some time off to enjoy (and adjust) to becoming a dad.
So what is going to be coming up for Williams’ character on the show moving forward? During the winter finale, we had an opportunity to see Jackson pull the classic “I object” stunt at April’s wedding, saying that he deserved to be with her rather than her fiance Matthew. The one thing that made this situation even more awkward and potentially uncomfortable for all of the characters involved? The simple fact that this moment happened while Jackson’s girlfriend Stephanie was at his side.
Williams and Drake-Lee actually met before he found fame on TV, as he was taking on a career in teaching back in New York City before going on this career path. He will have most of the season still left to film, but following that, he will have a much larger break to enjoy being dad. At least his early call times to set have gotten him prepared for the early call times Sadie will have him doing when it comes to feedings and diaper changes.
