We never knew much about Rod Blagojevich as a politician before the Barack Obama senate seat scandal broke, but we did see plenty of him in the months that followed (including an appearance on “The Celebrity Apprentice” a couple of seasons ago).
Now, Blagojevich has been finally sentenced to 14 years in federal prison on corruption charges. The case took years to develop, and for the vast majority of time the former Governor was in harsh denial of all charges.
While he did not necessarily change his tone completely on Wednesday, he at least did accept the situation he has found himself in:
“I’ve had plenty of time to reflect on all that’s happened … I’m here convicted of crimes and I am accepting of it, acknowledge it.”
Let’s just hope that there is a TV in prison for the Governor to watch Donald Trump and company on next season.
