‘Saturday Night Live’ makes light of Penn State, Syracuse situations

Right timing?

Even though the recent scandals occurring at both Penn State and Syracuse ended up generating plenty of headlines, “Saturday Night Live” did not exactly decide to shy away from the topic.

The segment (which we will post as soon as it is available) focused on an “investigation” put on by a university about one of its assistant coaches — one that was initiated without there being any real evidence (outside of the fact that the guy looked creepy).

While there were some pretty funny moments here (especially when the coaching staff brought up everyone under the sun as witnesses to their lengthy investigation), the question still has to be asked — was it a little fast to tackle a topic that is still so sensitive to many?

What do you think about the show’s decision to air this sketch in the wake of Jerry Sandusky and what is happening in addition at Syracuse?
