Michael Buble just got himself a rather sweet Christmas gift — a placement at the top of the Billboard 200 with his album simply entitled “Christmas.”
The popular music-charting service announced on Wednesday that the disc is the third #1 album from the crooner — who previously saw success both with “Call Me Irresponsible” and “Crazy Love.” The album has also risen up to the spot slowly in the weeks since its initial release.
Buble won this weekend in what was reportedly the closest battle in four years — narrowly topping out Nickelback’s new release “Here and Now.” (Both opened close to the 227,000 copy range.)
As for Rihanna, her new “Talk That Talk” debuted with just under 200,000 copies — proving yet again that the hit-maker is a bit more skilled at ruling the Digital Sales charts.
Are you happy for Buble?
