While none of Cee Lo Green’s solo tracks have come anywhere close to matching the success that was “Forget You” (or its more uncensored counterpart), we have to say that we are still enjoying some of the music that “The Voice” coach is putting out these days.
After an incredibly solid effort in “Crybaby,” Cee Lo’s new music video for “Anyway” shows off a bit of vulnerable side — which is great for a man who can come off as cocky at times. Yes, some people may still proclaim this video to be such, by we really like the personal side of the singer.
One of the more interesting facets of this song is that it was co-written by Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo — who is a master when it comes to mixing humor and self-pity into a four-minute hook that you won’t forget anytime soon.
