Jessica Alba dishes on how she dropped her baby weight

She made healthy choices during pregnancy

Mrs Carter: Some of us actually have to work out to lose the weight.

While many of us become a slave to the gym and healthy diets after we give birth to try to shed the baby weight of our bodies, Jessica Alba had the pounds melting off her body without worshiping the treadmill and carrot sticks.

So how did she do it?  Alba reveals her weight loss secrets to US Weekly, saying;

“I didn’t gain as much weight with my second pregnancy, so I think that really made a big difference. I did prenatal yoga up until the very end.  I just made healthier choices. I started working out and not going too crazy, but I did what was safe and what the doctor approved.”

Of course Alba did have to hit the gym to help beat her figure back into shape a little bit, but she found herself having to commit less to it because of the choices she made while being pregnant.  A source said that only two weeks after giving birth to her second daughter, the actress was doing 40 minutes of cardio and that she has now taken it to 90 minutes, four times a week.

Must be nice to be able to find 90 minutes in a day to work out while you have a baby – one of the perks of being a rich actress we suppose.
