Mrs. Carter: Rob and Amber keep on adding new members to their tribe!
While the two former “Survivor” winners, who started their relationship over a decade ago on “Survivor: All-Stars,” already have three young daughters in their family, the news came out over the course of the New Year’s holiday that Amber was expecting the couple’s fourth child together (are they trying for that all elusive boy?). Heck, there was even photographic proof of it, as Rob posted an image of the sonogram on his Twitter account along with the following message:
“My wife Amber is so hot, I can’t keep my hands off her… Here is to 2014!!! #4.”
The history for Rob and Amber on “Survivor” goes back in some ways to the show’s early years. Amber was originally a contestant on the second season set in Australia in 2001 (it filmed the prior year) while Rob was on “Survivor: Marquesas,” which aired a year later in 2002. After Rob proposed to her on the “All-Stars” finale in which she won, they became one of the go-to couples in all of reality TV. They’ve been on two seasons of “The Amazing Race“, have had their own independent reality show, and Rob of course has also done two additional “Survivor” seasons in “Heroes vs. Villains” as well as “Redemption Island,” which he ended up winning. He has since claimed that he has retired from making another trip to the island, and has spent more time as of late in the professional poker circuit. Basically, what we’re trying to say here is that these two have a TON of home movies to show their kids when they are old enough to watch them.
One other bit of “Survivor” trivia: Rob and Rupert Boneham are the only two players to ever play on four occasions, and given the next season “Survivor: Cagayan” is all newbies, they will be keeping that distinction for a while.
So congratulations to the happy couple! Stay tuned for more “Survivor” news, and click here if you want to subscribe to our CarterMatt newsletter for more updates on all things “Survivor,” reality TV, and your scripted favorites.
