‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7 spoilers: The return of Wil Wheaton, Barry Kripke

Here it is -We imagine that if Thursday night was not Thanksgiving, you’d probably be bummed. (Heck, you may still be bummed regardless.) Why? “The Big Bang Theory” is not going to have a new episode for the first time in many weeks. But the show will be back one week later on December 5 with an episode entitled “The Discovery Dissipation,” and it is one that is not going to make Dr. Sheldon Cooper very happy. Just when he finally starts to come to terms with the discovery that he made earlier this season (albeit by accident), Sheldon will end up having it disproved by someone who he has long considered to be under him: His roommate.

Just take a look at the synopsis below before we get to sharing any further details:

“Leonard and Amy help Sheldon cope with the shame he’s feeling after his accidental contribution to science is disproved. Meanwhile, Raj must stay with Howard and Bernadette for a week.”

Now what also makes this episode interesting are the flurry of guest stars stopping by. Not only are we going to be seeing Wil Wheaton stopping by again as “Wil Wheaton,” but John Ross Bowie also will be paying a visit as Barry Kripke, Sheldon’s rival at the university who could take great pleasure in his pain. These are the two’s first appearances this season, and strangely, seeing them both makes us take greater notice that it’s been a while since we’ve seen Stuart at the comic shop. Meanwhile, Ira Flatow of NPR’s “Science Friday” is also going to be making an appearance in some form, but he is said to be playing himself. Maybe Sheldon has to go on his show and act extremely embarrassed, which would just about be one of the saddest things ever.

Are you at least glad to see that “The Big Bang Theory” is touching back on something that we originally assumed would be a one-shot story earlier this year? Share below, and click here if you missed what we thought about the show’s recent Thanksgiving installment.
