Tomorrow night, there is going to be a sad awakening for those looking to watch “The Blacklist” after a new episode of “The Voice”: NBC is preempting the show in order to seemingly keep some shows in the can for a little later in the season. With that being said, this is still a strange move given that we are in the middle of November sweeps, which is such an enormous period of time for networks to show off their might.
But, hopefully this will serve as a nice way to tide you over until the show comes back on the air: Details on the second part of what is going to be an epic two-part episode that looks to answer one question: What in the world is going to happen when Raymond Reddington runs into someone that he is genuinely afraid of? You can see some details about the first part of the episode here, and our focus here is all about what happens next:
“Liz (Megan Boone) infiltrates the blacksite and disarms the signal jammers to call in backup but runs into trouble along the way. The fate of Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) hangs in the balance as Red (James Spader) tries to bargain with Anslo Garrick (Richie Coster). Meanwhile, Tom (Ryan Eggold) becomes increasingly worried about Liz’ situation and the fate of Red is unknown.”
Based on this synopsis, it feels like there are really two characters that are going to be feeling as though their lives are in jeopardy: Red, and also Ressler. These two are both valuable to the team, and it would be pretty awful to lose either one of them. Luckily, we don’t think that this will happen given that they are both series regulars, Spader is the star of the show, and we have a hard time imagining that Klattenhoff would have to leave another show after his role on “Homeland” was reduced for the third season.
Is this the episode of “The Blacklist” that you are very much looking forward to seeing? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below!
