ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Ready for episode all about Tamala Jones’ Lanie?

Lanie -How is this for a “Castle” shocker? Despite getting the next episode soon of the show in “Like Father, Like Daughter,” there is still not a sneak peek out there from ABC. There are times in which we get as many as three or four for an episode, so with that in mind, this little omission here does disappoint.

But still, we persevere by talking about an episode that a good many out there have been looking forward to seeing for quite some time. As for the reason why, that is pretty simple in that it spotlights a character potentially here who has not really been given much of any attention as of late: Lanie, played of course by Tamala Jones. Despite her being a series regular, we still don’t know that much about her. Hopefully this upcoming 9th episode of season 6, entitled “Disciple,” is going to be the one that finally puts her into more of the forefront.

While there is no confirmation from ABC that this is going to be an “all about Lanie” episode, it has to be a coincidence that this synopsis (via SpoilerTV) only mentions her and not any other character:

“When a woman who looks very similar to Lanie is murdered, the team thinks the killer may be targeting members of the 12th precinct.”

As for one other thing that we clearly want to see in here, including the presence of some sort of villain that actually has some weight rather than just a mystery-of-the-week, is some movement when it comes to the Lanie / Esposito story. This is in our mind the ultimate “will they or won’t they?” romance, mostly because it’s more of a “we don’t know what’s going on.” We know that there are some mutual feelings there, but it has been a little while since we have seen them acted on. Hopefully, the time for these two to start thinking about each other romantically again is coming up.
