‘Glee’: Chord Overstreet’s Halloween costume is Charlie Hunnam’s ‘Sons of Anarchy’ character

The photos -Glee” definitely takes their Halloween seriously … and in the process, Chord Overstreet is doing his best to remind people that Charlie Hunnam was doing something awesome long time before he was ever attached to “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

The photo to the left was posted by Chord in a new post on his Twitter account, and it shows him emulating Jax Teller from “Sons of Anarchy” pretty accurately, even when it comes to the tattoos. What made this such a perfect costume for the guy is pretty clear: He has the long hair for it, and he is also in crazy-good shape much in the same exact way that Hunnam is. There’s ironically also a little bit of brand synergy here when you actually think about it. “Sons of Anarchy” airs on a network in FX that airs another Ryan Murphy series in “American Horror Story.” Not only that, but there seems to at least be a good rapport between Murphy and “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter as two of the hardest-working guys in TV.

In going back to Chord here, he seems to be more or less just continuing the great recent tradition of actors from this show celebrating the Halloween holiday in a super fun way. We recently shared some images of Chris Colfer and Naya Rivera each rocking some of their own costumes, which were just as creative and appropriate as this one. They are all currently in the thick of production on season 5, which returns to Fox with new episodes a week from Thursday.

Just in case you are wondering who the guy in the photo is, it’s none other than Chord’s own brother Nash Overstreet. He is a member of the band Hot Chelle Rae, the makers of the hit “Tonight, Tonight.” This should be a sign that the entire Overstreet family has quite the musical background in their veins, mostly because you would not be named Chord otherwise (or at least so we hope).
