ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3, episode 5 preview: Lisa Kudrow, Kerry Washington team up
If there is one thing that we are pretty sure of when it comes to “Scandal” season 3, it is this: The last thing that President Fitzgerald Grant would want to see would be Olivia working with some of the competition. So with that in mind, how do you think he is going to feel about her teaming up with someone who could be a major power player against him?
The client this time around is none other than Lisa Kudrow’s character, and it comes after she enters the fray courtesy of a confrontation with Mellie. We can only imagine that some great drama will ensue, especially when it comes to the moment that Fitz really finds out about it. This is the problem for him: While he has a team of people around him who are constantly under his thumb in one way or another, this is someone that he truly cannot control.

“The team investigates Democratic Congresswoman Josie Marcus, while Olivia and Mellie have a surprising run-in during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Meanwhile, Jake and Huck get closer to the truth about Operation Remington, which could lead to devastating results.”
Away from what Olivia has going on, the story about Jake and Huck is going to be the most intriguing to us for two reasons:
1. It is an opportunity for Scott Foley to really dive in and work with someone not named Kerry Washington for a change (which has to feel pretty good at this point).
2. It is also a chance to be able to dive in to what we are hearing is going to be an extremely devastating storyline that is bigger than almost anything that the show has touched on so far. Whatever lies behind this mystery door, let’s just say that it isn’t going to be pretty by any means.
