‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Jennifer Morrison talks major Emma kiss

Is Emma about to get a little bit closer to someone on “Once Upon a Time”? You better believe it.

For those of you wanting to see the character finally move forward in her love life (after all, the last hook-up that she had was with likely Christian Grey Sheriff Graham the very first season), it’s going to happen in the episode airing a week from Sunday. There are a couple of characters here who are obviously suitors for her, and the question that comes next is pretty simple: Who is it going to be? SPOILER WARNING: Stop reading now if you want to be surprised.

We don’t know why ABC chose to release this information now and spoil it, but they have, and Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) are going to get romantic. A kiss will be shared, though it is not clear yet whether or not this is something that she will later regret. It’s no surprise that this is coming; we know already that she has a thing for the bad boys, and Hook has been on the reasonably straight and narrow lately. Plus, he hits on her every chance that he can.

In speaking about the moment in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly (who also first posted the attached image), Morrison explained that this was something that was a long time coming for her character:

“I kind of knew at some point it was coming. I knew from all the way back, when they brought both Michael Raymond-James and Colin O’Donoghue on, that it was always the intention to create some sort of love triangle with the two of them and Emma…having a very legitimate pull between those two men.

“So I kind of was anticipating something coming — I just wasn’t sure what and I wasn’t sure how. So I definitely thought that it was an excellent moment for them to have an unexpected kiss.”

For those of you who are “Captain Swan” fans, you’ll also be pleased to know that this entire episode a week from Sunday will be very Hook-centric. Finally, this means that you’ll get a better sense of where he came from independent of some of the other characters.
