‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Sam, Callen, and makeover talk

Since when did it suddenly become cool for guys to wear skinny jeans? There are many questions that can be asked based on watching the promo video below for tomorrow’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” new episode.

The theme of this is something that we like to describe as follows: Sam and Callen having the sort of talk that is geared towards a macho-guy sitcom, as Callen gripes about his family deciding after watching an episode of “Project Runway” that he needs a makeover. This leads to him hitting up some sort of designer-friendly part of town, and actually picking up something for himself in the form of some classy jeans. A few rants about skinny jeans later and why no man would ever wear them, and we’ve made it to the end of the scene.

So what is the primary purpose of this sneak peek? To us, the answer to that seems to be pretty simple: To just have a little bit of fun in the midst of some more serious matters. Now that the first two episodes of the show are over and the situation for the cast is somewhat set, this is the time where people can start to let loose a little bit. Episode 3 is rarely the one of a 22-24 episode season where you see any big shockers; instead, it’s more about being happy and in your comfort zone, since you have such a long grind ahead both as an actor and as a viewer. In all counts, this video delivers just from the sole standpoint alone of being ridiculously entertaining. Sometimes, it’s really hard to ask for anything more than that.
