‘The Michael J. Fox Show’ scores Sting for role in holiday episode

The latest -Sure, it may be October, but who doesn’t want to see the holidays come a little bit early? (Unless you’re a Halloween fan that gets annoyed by seeing the skeleton and decapitated head decorations next to the Christmas lights and inflatable snowmen). With that in mind, we’re ready to talk the latest casting news for “The Michael J. Fox” show.

According to a report from TVLine, former Police rocker Sting is going to be appearing as himself in the upcoming holiday episode, which is filming this week. The fun aspect about this episode will be trying to uncover just how in the world Sting manages to fit into the world of this show. Is he going to be part of one of Fox’s news casts, or involved in some other bizarre way in how the family celebrates the holidays? If nothing else, we’re pleased to see that the man clearly knows a good comedy when he sees it and has the smarts to jump on board.

As for one other thing that we are happy to see, it is that the show is already this far along in production. When Fox joined the show for a full season, there were of course questions about the workload of it, but he seems to be enjoying it as much as we are. Not only that, but there is still enough time left here for the majority of the season to be filmed prior to the holidays. Based on the ratings so far, we could see Fox and company staying on the air for many years to come. After all, it is NBC’s highest-rated comedy so far this season, and it did keep almost the entirety of its audience from the season premiere last week.
