‘Supernatural’ season 9: New photos, fun with Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki

Are you still excited for “Supernatural” season 9? We imagine that we know the answer to that already, and we imagine that some of the new photos that are coming out now will only serve to further extend the hype. After all, who doesn’t love the opportunity to see Sam and Dean dressed like they are working at a private eye’s office? This is definitely a little bit of a more professional look than we’ve seen for the brothers, but we like it. It’s sleek, the colors contrast well, and it’s nice to have something official to share here that feels a little bit more modern. (So many of the generic promotional photos are old.)

The mystery here is that this is not the style that has been teased for much of the summer when it comes to “Supernatural” photos, even if we do like it. While we also understand the desire to see more of Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard, we don’t really mind the omission here. They’re both important to the show in their own way, but this really is the tale of the Winchesters first and foremost. Therefore, it’s hard to really get too upset to see them get their time in the spotlight right now.

Luckily, fans of Sheppard will still be pleased with the pretty-funny video below, mostly because it shows Crowley having a little bit more “fun” (if you can call it fun) with Sam and Dean as he pulls a new little trick to have them “die on a Tuesday.” We also love the little play here that “Supernatural” has at this point more or less been on every day of the week.
