Over the weekend, Charice Pempengco performed what in many ways is one of the bigger live performances someone can give — a concert at the Singapore F1 Grand Prix. Every year, the venue welcomes some of the biggest stars to perform in front of a sea of people. (This year, Charice was also joined by another international star in Shakira.)
While you could point out a number of highlights from the concert if you look across the board (including some original songs such as “Before It Explodes”), a personal favorite from this end has to be the Jessie J hit “Price Tag.” We have heard this song covered on a number of occasions (including some performances by contestants on “The X Factor” UK and “Britain’s Got Talent“), but Charice did a stellar job bringing in the effervescent quality of the music with some powerful vocals. It was a fun, lighthearted performance — and it also has the sort of message that audiences around the world can relate to.
Charice’s next album “Infinity” hit stores in Japan next month — but we are still unfortunately awaiting a release date still in North America. what was your favorite performance from the Singapore concert?
