‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Felicia Day’s return and more angel mythology

She's back -We are going to start off this “Supernatural” season 9 article by posing an answer to a frequently-asked question: When are we going to see Felicia Day’s Charlie again? Even though she has only appeared in three episodes of the course of the series’ run (which is not even 20% of an individual season on average), she has become a fan favorite, and her two appearances last year, especially “LARP and the Real Girl,” ended up being among the best of the entire year.

Well, here’s your answer: Day will once again be around come the fourth episode of the fall, which is going to also be an episode featuring the origins of the Men of Letters. Any episode that brings us Day along with possibly Gildart Jackson a.k.a. Giles the Butler from “Whodunnit?” is music to our ears.

On a more general topic, executive producer Jeremy Carver tells TVLine that angels (shocker … or not) are going to be hugely incorporated into the story this year, and we will get the opportunity to see a variety of different faces and personalities following their descent down to earth:

“We’re really delving into the individual characters here, and we found really interesting, really neat angels. Wherever we can dive into Biblical references, we do and then we turn that the way that we need. Some of the angels that we see…have deep roots in angel mythology.”

Misha Collins’ Castiel will of course be a large part of this, thanks in part to the actor’s series-regular promotion back in the spring.
