‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Meet Amanda Waller?

Are you ready to come into contact with another iconic DC Comics character on “Arrow” season 2? We hope so, since this is what the producers behind the show seem to be invested in doing right now.

According to a report from SpoilerTV, the show is getting set to introduce an important character by the name of Amanda Waller into the sixth episode of the season, entitled “Keep Your Enemies Closer.” The show describes her as an agent of A.R.G.U.S. who ends up sending out a team to kidnap Diggle. Rumor has it that there may be some sort of connection between the two characters, but that has not been confirmed just yet.

Are you surprised to be seeing Amanda cross over into the “Arrow” universe? You really shouldn’t be, and for one primary reason. While we were in attendance at his Fan Expo Canada panel last weekend, Stephen Amell told fans that DC was really “handing them the car keys” this year to a variety of different characters related to the show, which comes after the group was a little bit more hesitant last year to push out all of their memorable characters into something that was not necessarily guaranteed to work.

If there is going to be a character for Waller to be connected to in some way, we are personally rather thrilled to see that it is Diggle. This allows the character, which was an original creation of the show, to become tied to the DC universe more. Maybe this will help to alleviate some of our ever-present fears that the role is going to suddenly be killed off at any given point.
