NBC’s ‘Revolution’ season 2 spoilers: Giancarlo Esposito on ‘new look,’ ‘Breaking Bad’

Revolution“Revolution” will have its time to shine at Comic-Con very soon, but before we even come to that, why not share a little bit of scoop from a different panel? Giancarlo Esposito was one of the many popular folks on the TV Guide Fan Favorites panel, and he had an opportunity to talk more than just his role on the NBC hit.

For one, Giancarlo claims (per the publication’s own Twitter feed) that when it comes to season 2 of “Revolution,” one thing that should stand out to many fans almost immediately is that we are looking at a very different setting for the show than anything that they have come across to this point, thanks largely in part to the shift from North Carolina to Austin as the primary filming location:

“The whole look of our show has changed … The fans are going to be freaking out.”

As for the show that made him a household name to many in “Breaking Bad,” Esposito said that he was open to exploring some sort of role in the upcoming “Better Call Saul” spin-off as Gus Fring, though this would of course depend on a number of variables. Not only would he have to be available, but the show would need to be a prequel rather than a sequel. For now, Vince Gilligan is understandably not saying anything on the subject, mostly in fear of giving something away about the “Breaking Bad” finale.

There will be much more “Revolution” news revealed come this weekend, as the show could unveil a new teaser, or talk a bit about casting. The new premiere date will be Wednesday, September 25 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
